The Daily Teaser — 4-8-2011

You know, I’ve got to admit, I woke up this morning …

Hmmm …

You know, that’s usually the cue for a song, hasn’t it … ? That ‘I Woke Up This Morning’ usually gets a mention in so many faux blues tunes, it’s almost a knee jerk reaction — for me, anyway — to start making something up.

Complete with a ripped off, Willie-Dixon-style, da-dah-da-DAH bass-line, just to tell you it’s a blues tune.

But at ANY rate … ?

What I was going to tell you that I’ve woken up with a tune going through my head.

In this case … ?

Well, for some reason, I’ve had Amy Winehouse’s Rehab floating across my mind.

And beyond the fact that she’s recently died … ?

I really couldn’t tell you why …

Lets get moving on, shall we … ?

Yes, lets …

  1. Paul, you just HAD to throw in an obscure patron saint, eh? Har! Just for me?

    1. The name of Pakistan's national anthem is "Qaumi Taran". It has written by great south Asian poet "Hafiz Jalandhari". It is a combination of Persian and Urdu words.
    2. Mission To Mars
    3. "Poor Little Fool."
    4. Cornwall
    5. In the War of Spanish Succession, an Anglo-Dutch fleet captured Gibraltar.

  3. I must admit, this one was particularly hilarious. The good man was definitely the patron saint of misogynists! He deserves to be recast for the 21st Century.

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
