Oh … great … 

It’s got to be said, Labour leader, Ed Milliband, announcing at his party conference, a few weeks again, that a future government tun by him, would introduce legislation, freezing energy prices.

Something I — for one — find VERY appealing.

I don’t believe it’ll ever happen, but it’s an appealing thought, one I’d find a vote winner, all else being equal.

Of course, JUST to hammer the point home … ?

Just to hammer the point home, SSE, the company I use, has announced, today, that it’ll be increasing its gas and electricity prices.

I hate to get political, first thing on a Thursday morning.   But I have to ask why on Earth the coalition government’s not done anything like this.

It’s would make my life a lot easier …

*        Think I covered most of it, yesterday, Debbi: but to summarize … ?   Back in the 1960s and 70s, the BBC used to wipe videotape from stuff — including episodes of Dr Who — it felt wasn’t important: the tape was expensive, so re-using it was more important than what was on it.   That lead to quite a few missing episodes, and stories† with holes.   The Beeb, though, always keeps its eyes open.   Because occasionally, some of the missing episodes are found in foreign countries: ones that Aunty sold shows to, over the years.   (I think Jon Pertwee story, The Dæmons‡, was found in the US, just as an example.)

†        There’s an old Patrick Troughton story, Invasion, which has quite a few missing episodes.   What the BBC have done is, where audio soundtracks are available, they’ve animated the missing episodes: Invasion, I seem to recall, was one of the first episodes to get the treatment
