I finished at 22.30, last night: and, LORDY, it took a while to get to sleep.

*        That’s hell of a thing to have to do, Olga‡: leaving the computer on overnight, like that … !   At ANY rate … ?   I’m told Spybot’s the handy piece of software to get hold of: the basic version’s free, and the full version seems quite reasonably priced.   I’m ALSO going to seriously suggest getting a Mac.   Most computer viruses out there are aimed at the Windows platform, and won’t affect the Mac operating system.   (You have to be careful, what you open: as there’s a few out there.   But generally speaking, that’s ALL you have to do: be careful, rather be careful AND invest in security software with yearly subscriptions.)

†        Well, it was more aimed at families, rather than just the kids, Debbi^: but yes, children were the main target, originally.   I know, these days, it’s more gruesome that it was: Jude thinks it’s scary, to give you an example.   But it’s a broad church, I think: there’s something for everyone.   (It’s a bit like Buffy: The Vampire Slayer: plenty of room for plenty of stories.)   Either way, it looks interesting … 

‡        Yes, I know they’re comparatively expensive, Olga: but, as a self-employed writer, you should qualify for the business discount Apple offer.
