The Daily Teaser — 8-12-2015

Blimey, it get’s odder …

Well, maybe odder’s not the word.

Maybe the word is … um …

Actually, I’m not too sure what the word is.

But, can I ask you is you remember me mentioning the raid in the flat over the road from me, a couple of days ago?

Well, the story’s got legs, to use an old phrase.

You see, I’ve had news .

For starters, and as I may have already mentioned, it turns out the raid was performed by the Metropolitan Police: rather than the Essex Police whose patch Brentwood is.

Well, yesterday, I had a phone call from someone in a very good position to know what’s going on.

Apparently?

There were two men arrested at the flat, during the raid.

As it turns out … ?

On suspicious of murdering a 17-year-old teenager called Gary Scott, in Marquis Road, Finsbury Park.

Yes, you’re right.

The word is “Blimey!”

~≈Â≈~

But let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw both Debbi* and Olga† putting in their answers: with both scoring ten out of ten.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How Tolicense and video

Q4) Name either of the planets it flew by, on the way to Jupiter.
A4) Venus and Earth.
Q5) The Galileo is orbiting Jupiter in various elliptical orbits.   This allows it to better study Jupiter’s what: atmosphere, magnetosphere or rings?

I’ll leave you with this thought …
“To flee vice is the beginning of virtue, and to have got rid of folly is the beginning of wisdom.”
Quintus Horatius Flaccus, also called Horace, December 8, 65 BC – November 27, 8 BC.
And, as the 7th Symphony debuted on the 8th December, 1813 …

Enjoy your day!

*        It’s OK, Debbi‡, I’ll figure something out!   I’ll probably have to see if Santa sends me a cheque!

†        From what I can gather, Olga‡?   We’re not going to see MUCH more until the case goes to trial: sub judice, and all that!   But, thankfully, it’s not an everyday occurrence!

‡        Why on EARTH is Kim Appleby’s Don’t Worry banging it’s way through my head?   Arrrrggghhh!

  2. Sorry, it got too late and got stuck with the rappers songs (not sure if you were looking for solo or collaborations), But I had to comment on the police raid... Thankfully, as you say, it doesn't happen everyday, but we were right about the story behind it...
I have no answer for your question either.

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
