Was that I managed to catch a movie: although I don’t know whether I was impressed with Nosferatu*: but I CAN say I’ve seen it.
On other fronts?
I wrote, yesterday, that one man had been prosecuted for selling what’s called ‘fully loaded’ Kodi boxes.
In a follow up piece?
We see that the Premier League has managed to get a court order: to clamp down on the servers that are broadcast illegally streamed matches.
Given how Kodi boxes operate?
My biggest concern is the knock on effect.
I’m concerned that researchers and developers won’t necessarily have the legal manoeuvring room to do their jobs properly.
Doing what the League’s done, and trying to block what the servers are doing? Rather than the writers of the add-ons, the sellers of the boxes, or the people that buy or use them?
Seems a better way of doing things.

Let’s move on, shall we?
Yesterday’s Teaser saw Olga† and Debbi‡ putting in their answers: with both scoring four out of five.
Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?
Q1)9th March, 1959, saw Barbara Millicent Roberts make her debut. How is Barbara better known?
Q2)The Queen visited which Northern Irish city: on 9th March, 1995?
Q3)Actor, Raúl Juliá, was born: on 9th March, 1940. Which member of the Addams family did he play?
Q4)Napoleon got married: on 9th March, 1796. To whom?
Q5)Finally … President Franklin D Roosevelt submitted his Emergency Banking Act to congress: on 9th March, 1933. The Act was the first of what came to be known as the New … what?
Q5)Finally … A total solar eclipse occurred: on 8th March, 2016. The best views of the total eclipse, were in Indonesia. And which ocean: the North Pacific, South Pacific or North Atlantic?
† Hmmm … I really couldn’t tell you, Olga. I think any scientific/engineering research/discovery is neutral: it’s the application that’s causes the problems. I keep vaguely thinking of the discovery of Uranium. On the one hand, it gets used for nuclear fuel for power plants … and on the other, as fuel for nuclear weapons! I’m also aware that Uber’s recently had some bad publicity, over software used to avoid regulators. And that the CIA has had a lot of flack: as they’ve been found to have hacked a lot of kit.
‡ A pleasure, as always, Debbi! And you’re right: there’s TONS of baggage with every country! Oh, did you read the article about the CIA’s hijacking of Samsung TVs? Apparently, it was developed with the help of MI6/5/GCHQ … who dubbed it Weeping Angel. (I keep thinking two things. William Gibson would probably pinch the term for something. And that SOMEONE in MI6 is a Dr Who fan …)
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
