I think they’re aimed at business users of the site: just to get an idea of what’s popular, and what’s not.

I posted one up to a Facebook group I belong to, just recently.

Just to find out what people thought was THE best love song going.

Frankly?

Hazel O’Connor’s Will You is proving popular.

It’s at the top of the list.

For good reason, I think.   I’ve felt, for years, that it’s the perfect summary of that moment: when an evening could end in a couple … 

Or in someone going home after a nice night out, not realising what some of the undertones were.

Of course, the one I’m surprised isn’t doing better?

Is an old favourite, kd lang’s Miss Chatelaine.

Which is possibly the morning after Will You.

Whenever’s it’s being sung, though?

I still think Miss Chatelaine’s the perfect honey moon song: just capturing that wheeeee moment of new love, perfectly.

*        Yes, I read that about Prince Valiant, as well, Olga.   I know a lot of magazine publishers used a similar idea for assorted partworks.   And I think some publishers do similar collected editions, as well.   (Just had a lot at the collected Valiants on Amazon: oy VEH!)   Joanna Lumley would make a great Morgana: but I always loved Katie McGrath in Merlin.   (THINK they used Old Anglo-Saxon whenever a character cast spells.)

†        Cat was always one of the funnier characters, Debbi.   I seem to recall there’s an epode where the gang end up in a parallel universe: where they met female versions of themselves.   Apart from Cat.   He female opposite … is actually a dog … (You’d THINK someone would’ve posted it to YouTube, by now, but noooo … !)
