Q5)Finally … 19th December is the Feast day of Urban 5th. He was a what pope: Avignon pope, Roman pope or Coptic pope?
A5)Avignonpope. (Basically, the Avignon papacy was the result of arguments between the Papacy and the French monarchy: and led to the popes being moved from Rome, to Avignon.)
Here’s a quote from It’s A Wonderful Life …
“Dear Father in heaven, I’m not a praying man, but if you’re up there and you can hear me, show me the way... show me the way.”
* Yeah … that sounds about right, Olga. I know the government like the idea of keeping costs down: which isn’t, in and of itself, a bad thing. But it does mean services — prison health’s probably a good example — get underfunded, long term. (If I’ve understood it correctly, making sure prisoners are mentally and physically well, contributes towards prisoner rehabilitation and education … and reduces crime, long term.)
† I know what you’re going to say, Debbi! You’re going to tell me to see It’s A Wonderful Life, aren’t you? THINK I’ve beaten you too it: here’s … ! Ahem! At ANY rate … ? Moorcock’s an interesting read: he’s a fairly big influence on others — I think Storm Constantine and Neil Gaiman are fans — and he floated some interesting ideas. (Most of his characters weren’t about a battle between good and evil: they were About the battle between Law and Chaos. Every single RPG and war game, since, has pounced on that!)
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.

Moorcock sounds intriguing. I enjoyed your Liebster Award post! :) Animal House is one my favorite movies!
