Q4)A monk called Nichiren propose chanting the phrase ‘Namu Myōhō Renge Kyō’ was a way of saving a soul: on 28th April, 1253. As a result he founded a Japanese school of which religion?
“You don’t merely give over your creativity to making a film—you give over your life! In theatre, by contrast, you live these two rather strange lives simultaneously; you have no option but to confront the mould on last night’s washing-up.”
* Yep, it’s seasonal — ish — Olga. We tend to get a lot of boiler repairs across the year, for example. BUT … most of the social landlords we work with, will only let us send out repair crews for those they define as vulnerable, during summer. And have slightly different definitions of who’s vulnerable, and when summer is. (They all agree the elderly are vulnerable, for example: but some say you’re elderly if you’re over 65, others will say you’re elderly if you’re over 75!). And yes: co-ordination between offices is tricky, I know that from work. But, BOY, it sounds like that company’s got a big issue, there.
† Oh, HECK, cleaning! I know I’m going to have issues with something, Debbi! Unfortunately, I don’t have the money to hire someone! Although, with MY luck, I’ll get Winston Wolf …
Q1) The Baltimore Orioles Q2) Buckingham Palace Q3) Shōwa Q4) The Cotton Club Q5) Cricket Yes. I can imagine. I just wondered if you would get more calls and need more staff at some points of the year than others (probably winter, but yes, different seasons have different issues). Indeed, I agree. I did send an e-mail to the person I had dealt with about the whole mess, but I'll wait until after the delivery to make more of a noise. Here the 1st of May is a holiday, so some people might have tomorrow off. I just hope the lorry can get here OK... (the refurbishment on the building's entry has not been completed after the problems on Friday, so it might be a big of a squeeze...) I hope the day is not too strenuous on top of long.
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.

I wouldn't mind some cleaning help from Winston Wolf. Sans the bodies! :)
