Q7)In order to sneak it out of the Tower, the Colonel flattened the crown that’s been used to crown every British monarch since the 13th Century. Which Saint’s crown IS that?
Q8)In the attempt, one of the Colonel’s co-conspirators shoved what down his trousers: the Sceptre with the Cross, the Sovereign’s Orb or the Coronation Spoon?
“I’ve had enough of Irish Americans who haven’t been back to their country in twenty or thirty years come up to me and talk about the resistance, the revolution back home; and the glory of the revolution, and the glory of dying for the revolution. Fuck the revolution! They don’t talk about the glory of killing for the revolution. What’s the glory of taking a man from his bed and gunning him down in front of his wife and his children? Where’s the glory in that?”

* Nice to know, Debbi! Oh … I’ve sent over a couple of bits: one by email, one by WeTransfer.com. Ahem! I fully expect to see Debbi Headroom! :D
† I’m pleased we did, too, Olga: if for no other reason than the toilet could be flushed! We’ll catch you in the (metaphorical) morning: sound’s like you’re tired, too!
Q1) Nelson Mandela Q2) India Q3) Jefferson Davis Q4) J Edgar Hoover Q5) Sony Yes. Apart from the running around and public transport in the mornings (everybody seemed to take the same bus as me, although there are many), there was a lot of content packed into two days on something I wasn't terribly familiar with, so my brain was fried. I hope it will recover and I hope you can have some rest too. :)
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
