Q1)18th May, 1291, saw the fall of the city of Acre: after it was besieged by Mamluk forces. It marked the end of what: the Second Opium War, the Crusades or the Hundred Year Wars?
“They don’t try and eliminate an evil because it’s evil, or because it’s illegal, or because it’s immoral; they eliminate it only when it threatens their existence.”

* I’m just looking forward to getting home, Olga: and getting back to bed! Hmmm … We’ve a bank holiday, on the 28th. Guess who’s doing overtime … ? (Oh, about the Duke of Windsor? Marrying American divorcees was a scandal, back then. Today? Harry and Meghan … )
† I’ve never actually tried Vegemite, Debbi: although I DO know it’s similar to Marmite. And, apparently created when Australian ran out of Marmite, post World War one. Amazing what you find out …

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.

It is amazing, isn't it? :)
