Q5)The UK’s Admiralty rejected the invention of Francis Ronalds’s new invention: on 5th August, 1816. The device was a type of electric what: telegraph, gun sight or bacon slicer?
* Yeah, you’re right, there, Olga: there’s always one trigger you don’t expect! I THINK it’s the cooking oil I’m using. Time to change brands, I think. Or have boiled spuds! At ANY rate … ? If it IS one episode Jessica Lange crops up in? That would make sense: as she’d be giving something over to another character. And then — quite possibly — getting horribly killed. Mind you, it’s American Horror Story: Taissa Farmiga’s character died halfway through series one, and was a ghost for the rest of it.
† CBS All Access, you mean, Debbi? Discovery’s on Netflix, over here, I know that. But you can see why video piracy’s still popular: even now. The popularity of streaming means there’s less off it. But if you’re on a budget …. And you’re right: Attack the Block’s fantastic! It’s sort of a shame it didn’t do better than it did.
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
