One I’ve started watching recently?
Episode 2, Tiempo de Gloria/Time of Glory, of the show’s first series.

Episode 2 — Tiempo de Gloria — sees Gil Pérez — the Ministry’s man in 1588 — contacting HQ.
He’s got a problem.
It’s the day before the Armada’s due to sail for England: and Lope de Vega — 16th Century Spain’s most prolific writer — is supposed to be on the San Juan*, one of the few ships to survive Spain’s biggest naval disaster.
The problem?
Lope is ACTUALLY listed as being on the crew of the San Esteban: the ship the ends up sinking off the coast of Ireland, and having its crew hideously slaughtered.
Pérez needs a hand: making sure de Vega stays off one ship: and gets on the other.
Phoning HQ to get their crack team in seems only natural.
Julián, Amelia and Alonso (Rodolph Sancho, Aura Garrido and Nacho Fresneda) are only too happy to oblige.
Finding Lope?
Is hard.
Getting him onto the San Juan
Is going to be harder.
Finding there’s another Alonso listed on the crew of San Esteban?
Is where things start getting REALLY nasty …

Good?
Oh, yes: El Ministerio del Tiempo’s first episode was rock solid stuff.
By turns, drily funny, deadly serious and emotionally satisfying to watch.
Episode two, complete with subplots involving Alonso’s son, and Angustias (Francesca Piñón), as a well as a main plot driving to a big disaster?
Is equally as good.
Personally?
I know I’ve said my Spanish isn’t stunning.
But El Ministerio del Tiempo, The Ministry of Time is very worth watching!
* As far as I can see, there’s only the one† San Esteban that the episode could be talking bout: this one. However, there’s at least two San Juans listed by Wikipedia: a Biscay one, wrecked at Dunkirk, and a Castilian one.
† I don’t know if any of these ships were ones engaged by British naval hero, privateer, and slave Trader, Sir Francis Drake. I DO recall seeing a show with Peter and Dan Snow about the Armada. Apparently? The admiral in charge gave Drake a Serious ticking off about a couple of incidents … where he looted Spanish ships, rather engaged surviving enemy ships. Well, you’ve only got so long before the bodies start to bloat …0
