The European Court of Justice has officially decided that — should the UK decide to — it can revoke its Article 50 decision, its decision to leave the EU, without consulting other EU members.
I’d love it, personally: but don’t see it happening.
But?
Its nice to know the option’s not going to cause problems.
Q5)Finally … ? 9th December, 1906, saw the birth of computer scientist, Grace Hopper. In addition to helping lay the foundations of COBOL, she was one of a small group of computer scientist to find the first computer … what?
A5)Bug. (Although I don’t know if moths count as bugs or creepy crawlys.)
Here’s a thought …
“Whereas, all and everything is naturally related and interconnected. A volume could I write you on this subject.”
Ada Lovelace, 10 December 1815 – 27 November 1852.
* It always amazes me what I can do with a trick question, Olga! And there were definite owls! Either way … ? Yes, I noticed where Amelia’s from … I get the impression she’d be backing Catalan independence, too … !
† Yes, I knew about the compiler, Debbi: she didn’t quite find it, though! Her and her team found the first computer bug. This was back when a ‘computer’ was a room full of electro-mechanical part: the moth got squashed on some of the gears. Or frazzled on a valve. Oh, enjoy the episode: there’s some annoying news. (The New Years episode looks interesting … but WHAT’S THE CREATURE!)
Q1) Essex Q2) Books Q3) Argentina Q4) Whose Line Is It Anyway? Q5) The White Stripes I saw the owl! I went to a birds of prey sanctuary once, and they show birds in fly and allowed us to touch some of them (I had a little owl on my gloved hand), although they told us owls are difficult to train because their brain is quite small because so much space is taken by the eyes... What a disappointment! The albino hedgehog looks amazing, although easy to spot in nature...
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.

Oh, yes! That's where the term "computer bug" came from. Doh! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd, yes, I saw Montreal, but thought you meant the first Y in the U.S. specifically. Tricky tricky! :)
