Yep: I had Mike Oldfield’s Incantations album on, when I did that video introduction.
And, yes: right now?
I’ve changed metaphorical records.
To Tubular Bells.
Frankly?
I think Tubular Bells is possibly the better album.
At least, the less twee LP.
After all, Incantations has at least mention of the word ‘teepee’: which puts it into raving hippie territory, from where I’m sitting …
At any rate?
I’ve posted the
Spotify
version of Incantations.
I may as well give you Tubular Bells …

At any rate …
Sorry, I almost said at any rat there … !
At any rate, you’ve possible realised — by now — that I like a TV box set, every often.
That usually, I’d go for science fiction, or horror.
But you’v e possibly also worked out that US political thriller, House of Cards has been on my books for a while.
Certainly the first episode of series six was, last night.
Tonight … ?
Well, I’ve had time for another episode, tonight …
You’d possibly guessed …
~≈§≈~
Episode 2 — Chapter 67 — sees President Underwood (Robin Wright) responding to an emergency: the town of Belport has suffered, after a gas leak from a nearby chemical plant …
Claire … ? Has to make sure that the various federal agencies get to the town: both to help … and to investigate.
The only possibly hazard?
Is not the tainted water and air …
But siblings, Bill and Annette Shepard (Diane Lane and Greg Kinnear) … and they new employee, Seth Grayson (Derek Cecil), the former White House Press Secretary under President Frank Underwood.
Not only that, but Doug Stamper (Michael Kelly) is out of hospital … and denying he’s responsible for the death of Zoe Barnes*.
Ever get the feeling there’s something going on … ?

Now …
Good … ?
Give it a qualified yes …
Wright, Kelly, and the rest of the cast are as good as ever.
As is the writing.
But I get the feeling that this series of House Of Cards is a whole new one … that’s taking it’s time to develop.
* Zoe Barnes (Kate Mara) was the junior reporter killed at the end of series one. By the late lamented Frank.

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
