Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 27th March, 2019.

27th March, 2019.

It’s de PLOD a cus, you … you …

You reporter, you!

Sorry, JUST indulging an old hobby: yelling at idiots on Radio 4’s Today programme.

Who’ve been telling us how well Dippy the Diplodocus’ UK tour has gone.

Yeah …

Right …

Oh …

The point I was going to try and make, when I made today’s intro video?

Is that, apparently, the House of Commons is to debate the Revoke petition on 1st April.

Although there is a statement on the page — from the Department for Exiting the European Union — stating that “Revoking Article 50, and thereby remaining in the European Union, would undermine both our democracy and the trust that millions of voters have placed in Government.”

Hmmm …

Right at the moment, I’m more concerned it gets discussed in the House.

Here’s hoping …

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Badwolf*, and Debbi† putting in their answers: with both scoring five out of five.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video …

Q1) 27th March, 2000, saw the death of singer, Ian Dury.   Which of his songs was banned by the BBC?
Q2) 27th March is World Theatre Day.   London’s Theatre land is where … ?
Q3) 27th March, 1975, saw the birth of singer and actress, Fergie.   She was a member of which Hip Hop band?
Q4) HMS Scylla was sunk off the cost of Cornwall: on 27th March, 2004.   The decommissioned ship was sunk to help build a … what?
Q5) Finally … ?   27th March, 1935, saw the birth of actor, Julian Glover.   Name either of the characters he played, in Dr Who.
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Q1) 26th March, 1931, saw the birth of actor, Leonard Nimoy.   In which 1952 movie serial does he play an alien?
Q2) In which 1952 film does he play a disfigured boxer?
Q3) He first plays Spock in the original, and rejected, Star Trek pilot.   What was that episode called?
A3) The Cage.   (Footage from The Cage was later used to make The Menagerie.)
Q4) He played Dr. David Kibner in the 1978 version of which film?
Q5) Finally … ?   When he left the original run of Star Trek, he played Paris.   In which series?
Here’s a thought …
“I started off playing a villain in the film Tom Jones (1963) and that led to a whole career as villains, really. In fact, it got to the point where I would tell people not to employ me because the audience would see me and instantly know that I did it. Which was rather foolish of me, as I probably talked myself out of quite a lot of work.”
Julian Glover, born 27 March 1935.
And a song …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Have a good day.

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
