Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 26-3-2019: Leonard Nimoy

26th March, 2019.

It had to be said …

I never know where those intro videos are going to go.

But do know a couple of things.

It’s a hill in New Zealand, so you know.

Oh …

And blatantly nicked from Quantum Jump’s Lone Ranger.

Heigh Ho …

In other news … ?

In other news, Apple have announced their AppleTV+ service …

And run over the top of the rest of the stuff I can run on my AppleTV: I’ll find out in Autumn, along side everyone else.

Bar the fact Netflix isn’t taking part in the service?

It looks interesting.

They’ve ALSO announced something else.

An Apple branded credit card.

Quite what’s happening, there, I don’t know.

But I suspect that could be the ground breaker …

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Badwolf*, and Debbi† putting in their answers: with both scoring five out of five.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video …

Q1) 26th March, 1931, saw the birth of actor, Leonard Nimoy.   In which 1952 movie serial does he play an alien?
Q2) In which 1952 film does he play a disfigured boxer?
Q3) He first plays Spock in the original, and rejected, Star Trek pilot.   What was that episode called?
Q4) He played Dr. David Kibner in the 1978 version of which film?
Q5) Finally … ?   When he left the original run of Star Trek, he played Paris.   In which series?
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Q1) 25th March, 1920, saw the birth of actor, Patrick Troughton.   In which film did he play Father Brennan?
A1) The Omen.
Q2) 25th March, 1807, saw the formal opening of the Swansea and Mumbles Railway Line: generally considered to be the first passenger railway line.   It’s in which country of the UK … ?
A2) Wale.   (Yes, Virginia: there is a Mumbles …)
Q3) 25th March, 1941, saw the Kingdom of Yugoslavia join World War 2.   On which side: Axis or Allied.
A3) Axis.
Q4) 25th March, 1811, saw Percy Bysshe Shelly expelled from Oxford, after publishing The Necessity of what?
A4) The Necessity of Atheism.   (I get the impression — from the little I’ve read about Lewis Carroll — that being ordained as an Anglican priest was a requirement for taking up a lecturers post at Oxbridge.)
Q5) Finally … ?   25th March, 1921, saw the birth of actress, Simone Signoret.   She was only the second ever French winner of a best Actress Oscar: when she won for which 1959 film?
Here’s a thought …
“A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory. LLAP”
Leonard Nimoy, March 26, 1931 – February 27, 2015. His last tweet can be found, here.
And a song …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Have a good day.

*        Morning, again, Badwolf: good score today … !

†        I’ll try and check that out, later, Debbi: I have to settle up my phone bill, today!
