1st March, 2019.
Yes: it is, in theory, a day for another dollar.
At least, it would be …
Hmm …
Hmm …
Maybe that phrase should be ‘Another day, another disappointment.’
Do you remember me telling , a couple of weeks ago, now, that I had an interview with BT?
20th February, that was.
I … was told the those of us who attended — hired or otherwise? — would be told, today, whether we’d be taken on.
I don’t know about anyone else … ?
But I’ve heard neither way.
And can only assume I’ve not been hired.
That’s … saddening …
But also annoying.
After all, why tell someone you’ll contact them by such and such a date …
If you’re not … ?

So …
Upsetting … ?
Upsetting … ?
Very much so, to be honest.
OK, granted, I managed to get a few things done about the house: although you possibly wouldn’t know it.
That does help …
And … ?
At the end of the evening, the least I could say is that I’ve seen more TV.
You’re right: it’s Friday …
Episode 7 — Light and Shadows — sees Michael (Sonequa Martin-Green) taking formal leave: she feels one of the best ways to try and find Spock … ?
Is to talk to their parents, Sarek (James Frane) and Amanda (Mia Kirshner).
It seems Amanda has something she’s telling to neither Michael or Sarek.
Something that leaves Sarek as angry as only a Vulcan could get …
And Michael … ? Talking a semi-conscious Spock (Ethan Peck*) away seems like a sensible idea.

Back on Discovery?
Back on Discovery, Captain Pike (Anson Mount) and Ash Tyler (Shazad Latif) has issues …
On a personal front, Tyler would rather be on QonoS† … and Captain Pike would rather not have a member of Section 31 on his ship.
Unfortunately, when an ace pilot is needed, to find out more about the time rift opening about Kaminar?
The only competent person is the former Starfleet test pilot that is Captain Christopher Pike …
The only co-pilot … ?
Ash Tyler …
You can tell things are going to get … overheated … can’t you … ?

Now … is this second series of Star Trek: Discovery looking good.
Yes, it is, actually!
Granted, and right now? I’m watching it along side El Ministerio del Tiempo: which I believe to be the better series.
That said … ?
That does not mean Discovery’s a bad series: it’s just as watchable, at it’s best, as any.
Tonight’s episode? As short as it was, is another great example of what the franchise can when on form.
Action, emotion … a great big crash …
And a hell of an announcement about where Michael and Spock are off too next …
Spoilers … !
