Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 17-3-2019: Saint Patrick’s Day

17th March, 2019: Saint Patrick’s Day.

Yes, I know: that picture in picture thing in iMovie isn’t …

Well, I was going to say ‘stunning,’ there.

But in truth … ?

In truth, that fact I — and complete and utter film amateur — has access to a powerful piece of software that lets me edit video, and insert all sorts of stuff into that video… ?

Is still something I feel grateful for.

Talking of video … ?

You’re no doubt aware of the shootings that took place in New Zealand on Friday.

And of how the killer streamed it, live, to Facebook.

Facebook and other other companies who’ve had the thing uploaded to their platforms, have been working hard to get rid of copies that they find, or have pointed out to them.

Personally?   I got curious, last night, when the BBC News channel mentioned a specific, known, right wing site: that was hosting various copies of the video.

My inner child, I think, came to the fore, and went looking.

I wish it hadn’t.

The video — or versions of it — is disturbing easy to find.

Personally?

I think, however hard governments chide sites that host videos?

I think my thoughts are with the technology companies.

Whichever spokesperson described the job as a game of whack-a-mole?

Has a point …

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Badwolf*, and Debbi† putting in their answers: with both scoring five out of five.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video …

Q1) 17th March is Saint Patrick’s Day.   It’s officially marked in Ireland, Northern Ireland … and which Canadian Province?

Q3) Flying Tiger Line Flight 739 disappeared on 16th March, 1962.   Did it disappear in the Bermuda Triangle: yes, or no?
A3) No.   Flight 739 disappeared in the western Pacific: the Bermuda Triangle’s in the Atlantic.

Here’s a thought …
“I am at a loss to know whether to weep more for those they killed or those that are captured: or indeed for these men themselves whom the devil has taken fast for his slaves.”
Words ascribed to Saint Patrick.
And a song …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Have a good day.
