Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 4-3-2019: Birthdaze …

4th March, 2019.

Yes: it’s that time of year again: when another year gets ticked off the calendar, and the age piles up.

Oy veh.

Frankly?

I’m planning on a quiet one: that’s going to involve picking up more medication, shopping …

And hopefully, another episode of El Ministerio Del Tiempo.

One thing I will do?

Is ask you to make a donation to the Alzheimer’s Society for me.

I think the fundraiser I was running on Facebook has now — with many thanks to those who HAVE donated — closed off.

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Badwolf*, and Debbi† putting in their answers: with both scoring ten out of ten.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video …

Q10) Finally?   Oil is measured in what?
A10) Barrels.   (Approximately 42 US gallons, or 35 Imperisl ones.)
Here’s a thought …
“Is that a birthday? ’tis, alas! too clear;
’Tis but the funeral of the former year.”
Alexander Pope.
And a song …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Have a good day.

*        Isn’t it just, Badwolf?   It’s one of the missing ones, that they’ve cartoonified: a bit like Power of the Daleks.   (Apparently, it’s released on 18th March: THINK I’m getting a late present …)

†        That it is, Debbi!   There’s STILL stories doing the rounds: that say notorious occultist, Aleister Crowley, was brought in to interrogate Rudolf Hess.   According to one story I heard, it was Ian Fleming — the creator of James Bond — who came up with that one!

  2. I just started reading Casino Royale. This is my first Ian Fleming book. I've seen loads of Bond movies, but never read the books until now.

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
