Saturday 10 August 2019

Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 10th August, 2019.

10th August, 2019.

Yes: it’s Saturday.

It’s a Saturday I’m going to have to be doing … stuff … !

To be honest, I’ve just enough cash to get some blank CDs.

I’ve still got a few playlists on my old MacPro that need to be transferred over for it, to my iMac.

The playlists in question are from a large, multi-disk, compilation: equivalent to some forty-four individual CDs.

Unfortunately?   The version of iTunes on the machine is an older one, that organised this set in an odd way: as individual songs, rather than as a large set of albums.

Which means burning the playlists off as CDs, then importing them into the new machine, is the easiest way to transfer them.

I’m just glad Gracenote, the online database Apple uses to identify CDs, still seems to work … !

The only things I am worried about … ?

Is that we’re not suffering a power cut.

And the wind: it’s howling out there … !

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Badwolf*, and Debbi† putting in their answers: with both scoring five out of five.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video …

Here’s a thought …
“It’s been proved gardening is good for you mentally. It gives you a positive outlook on life, it’s a very good way to relax, and it’s great for children.”
Charlie Dimmock, born 10th August, 1966.
And a song …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Have a good day.

*        Morning, Anne: see you on Sunday … !

†        Glad to help, Debbi!   I don’t think I’ve any that size coming up again for a while!   It’s not much: stacking shelves and cashiering.   But the parade of shops is nice.   (Actually, now I think of it: moggy is sort of a British English equivalent to the word, mutt.   Except, obviously, a mutt’s a dog.   Or a record producer … )

  2. If you are on the till I would have to triple check my change. Amazing that both girls got 5 right when 1 did not put an answer in to question 4.

The temperature you quote in today's question 1 is the previous record. The Temperature in 2003 was 38.1C (100F).

That nice parade of shops was attached by a man with a machete. He was an idiot tossed his balaclava in to a nearby garden and his gloves into another one. Plenty of DNA and the old bill soon caught him. He is resting inside I believe

  3. Well, you do what you gotta do. Right? :) Someone has to handle the till, stock the shelves, etc.

People with machetes are probably easier to stop than those with automatic weapons! I'll stop there. :-/

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
