* It’s starting to get just as hairy, here, Olga‡: Mother’s Day’s definitely off, unfortunately. Normally, I’d have dinner at Mum: but today … ? Well … (My old industry’s having it rough. All the pubs and restaurants in town are shut, and most pub quiz masters are out of jobs. A lot are migrating to YouTube.)
† A tutorial would be lovely, Debbi‡! Part of the trouble is knowing what to do, before I do it!
‡ Has either of you got a spare chainsaw? Or a meat cleaver? Those sweet potatoes are really tough to cut!

Here the whole of the economy is collapsing, but there's not much anybody can do. In theory, the government will withhold taxes, help companies and individuals, but people who work for themselves or small businesses are going to have a tough time getting over it. personally, I don't know if the people who rent my flat will be able to pay (it depends on what kind of work they do) but things might get complicated there either. On the other hand, if I ever complete the course, as some bits require us to be personally there, it seems that's there's plenty of work, and the language school where I am studying are interested in Spanish teachers as well, for what they've told me, so one never knows...
My approach? Start before you know everything and learn as you go. It's called resilience, I think. :)

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
† Your Facebook, X/Twitter, Blogger, Instagram, TikTok or LinkedIn profile are acceptable. I also like seeing folks webpages.
