I’m officially a year older: but officially not any less glum.
Still … ?
I have had a very nice lunch, yesterday: courtesy of my sister, Ruth.
And managed to get the refurbished laptop to her, in the process.
I’ve also had one of my birthday presents turn up: a cheap laptop I’m intent on using as a spare machine … after I’ve installed a version of Ubuntu on it.
It’ll be handy: I can job search in Brentwood library, with out my passwords leaving a machine I own.
Here’s hoping …

Let’s move on, shall we?
Yesterday’s Teaser saw David* and Debbi† putting in their answers: with both scoring ten out of ten.
Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?
Q6)The band recorded a 1980 song called Happy Birthday. Which Scottish band released a 1981 album called Happy Birthday?
A6)AlteredImages. (Indeed, the title track was the band’s biggest hit.)
Q7)In the UK, the copyright of the traditional song, Happy Birthday to You, is is what: owned by Warner/Chappell Music, owned by the Micheal Jackson estate or in the public domain?
Q10)Finally … ? If you’re wearing your birthday suit, you’re what?
A10)Starkers. In the altogether. As nature made you. Naked, in other words. (Cue Louise Redknapp.)
Here’s a thought …
“It was Pythagoras who discovered that the 5th and the octave of a note could be produced on the same string by stopping at 2⁄3 and ½ of its length respectively.”

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.

I fully understand how that is. :)
