Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 4-3-2020: The Birthday …

4th March, 2020.

Right …

It’s my birthday: he says, in his best Gollum voice.

And … ?

Frankly, I’ve a dentist appointment, today, my knee hurts …

And, yesterday, I had the first of what’s going to be a long line of diabetes checks.

The diagnoses is near enough confirmed: all that’s needed now is a blood test to check my red blood cell’s fat absorption … and a urine test to check my kidney function …

Hmm …

JUST as a quick thought?

I’m on Facebook: as many of us are.

The fact it’s my birthday?   Means the site sets up a charitable giving page in your name.

Considering it’s had an impact on me — the condition killed my Grandma, and my favourite writer — I’ve chosen the Alzheimer’s Society as my chosen charity.

Feel free to put some cash in.

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw David*, Mariela† — who put her answers on the How To Comment Pages! — and Debbi‡ putting in their answers: with David and Debbi on ten out of ten, and Mariela on nine and a half.   The day also saw Olga^ leaving a message.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here’s a thought …
“I grabbed a pile of dust, and holding it up, foolishly asked for as many birthdays as the grains of dust, I forgot to ask that they be years of youth.”
Ovid, Metamorphoses.
And a playlist …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Have a good day.

*        Glad to know you enjoyed it, David.   (Now … about Google Translate: did you know it doesn’t do Klingon?)

†        Welcome aboard, Mariela: as it’s you, I’ll let you off putting it on the wrong page!   Sorry about the nine and a half: Wikipedia’s no help!   At any rate … ?   I’m glad you enjoyed it!

‡        It’d be very appreciated, Debbi!   Feel free to hit the Share buttons, if you see them!   Oh, this is the most recent written review.   This is the video one …

^        I’m keeping my fingers crossed, Olga.   The actual diagnosis is near enough confirmed: I’ve one more blood test, and one more urine test to do.   And would you know it?   The blood test is on Friday 13th … !   (The really unlucky bit?   According to most of the websites I’ve seen, one potential symptom is unexplained weight loss.   Just my luck … )
