For God’s sake’s, just to do some shopping, that’s a bit … you know …
Conspicuous …

Just as a final thought?
I’m not a sports fan: although, as an ex barman, I’m very aware that knowing which team’s doing what is helpful.
One thing that has caught my eye in current conditions?
Is the fact that the PFA, the union for professional footballers, has refused to accept a 30% pay cut, during the Corona Crisis.
Apparently? It would reduce tax revenues used to fund the NHS.
When many people in the UK are going through extreme financial hardship as a result of the Lockdown, I think that’s a bloody arrogant line for some of the richest media stars in the UK to take.
Many of the PFA’s member could take the cut, and still be better off than many of their fans
I’m seriously tempted to swear at the nearest available Premier League footballer.

Let’s move on, shall we?
Yesterday’s Teaser saw Olga*, David† and Debbi‡ putting in their answers: with Olga and Debbi on ten out of ten, and David on nine.
Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?
* Oh, you’re right, I could’ve used Rasputin, Olga. But, play fair: it’s about Rasputin, rather than Moscow … ! Good luck for Tuesday: knock ’em dead! (And isn’t it always the way: there’s always that one document! Which reminds me, I need to copy the database to the spare Mac! Every backup helps!)
† Morning, David!
‡ Talking of Richard O’Brien, Debbi, did you ever catch The Crystal Maze, over there? It was something to watch!
Q1) Easter Q2) Plymouth, Massachusetts Q3) tennis Q4) West Berlin Q5) Karate Thanks, Paul. Yes, hair will be an issue for me as well. I saw your pic of the Lamborghini. Some people will do anything to show off... I am teaching on Monday and Wednesday, but I hope that all the paperwork is now as ready as it can be for the assessor's visit on Tuesday. Here there was some confusion about the FC Barcelona players, as the club proposed a 70% paycut during the temporary suspension, and there were rumours that they were negotiating. I A few days ago the players released a declaration saying that of course they accepted the paycut, but they were not happy with how the club was handling it for other workers (people working in other capacities there, whose salaries are not as high, as it seems they thought the club also wanted to cut everybody else's salaries by 70% and they said they would pay out of their pockets to make sure the other workers got their full salary. That wasn't the case and it seems there was plenty of confusion, but yes, here they are getting a 70% cut and accepting it. So perhaps British footballers should learn to be less selfish).
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.

That looks amazing. Possibly better than what's on TV. :)
