Right …
I’ve just had the news on: and managed to turn it off.
Sometimes? Silence when writing is … preferable …
At least, I think so.
That lack of any noise: except what’s coming in through the windows.
A chill, but welcome, breeze.
The sounds of trains: and traffic.
That … ?
And silence from the TV.
Which is as welcome as the breeze: it’s been 36ºC in parts of the UK.
Apparently?
It’s been the hottest August since 2003.
Whatever?
That hasn’t stopped me watching a TV show.
Oh, no.
Series one of The Mandalorian is proving to be beguiling.

Chapter 3 — The Sin — sees the Mandalorian (Pedro Pascal) delivering the Child to the Client (Werner Herzog): then, after visiting the the Armorer, to have a new cuirass made?
Goes to see Greef Karga (Carl Weathers) for another assignment.
It’s only once he’s picked up the paper work for the job, that the Mandalorian decides he mission is unfinished: and that he’s not leaving the child to the tender mercies of the Client and Dr Pershing (Omid Abtahi) …
And that a rescue is in order …

Now …
Is this third episode as good as the first two? Have I enjoyed it? Is it both watchable, watch-ably short and wonderfully paced?
Absolutely.
Let’s start with short, shall we?
I have to admit, the older I get, the less time I want to spend glued in front of a TV screen.
And, frankly? As anyone who read my review of Relic will tell you, I get depression: which means finishing a film, or show, can be difficult … if the condition’s telling me to go to bed at eight thirty on a sunny evening!
Oh, Relic’s a four star film, I should add: that basically translate’s as ‘Go Watch, Now.’
But it was interrupted by going to bed, early!
I finished it, though.
That’s not — given its length — a problem I had with tonight’s episode of The Mandalorian.
It’s a nice short length, it’s something that add’s to the main character’s back story, we get to see more of his world, meet other Mandalorians: with all the implied politics that brings …
And we get a romp of a tale.
Right here and now … ?
I say roll on next week!
