And a doctor’s appointment — by phone — this morning.

I’m not sure what I’m more nervous about: the appointment, the interview … or using Zoom for the first time!

*        I know what you mean about price, Olga.   The last cut I had was a touch more expensive: but absolutely fine.   It’s only where he was fully booked, I went next.   And Mum’s got a regular hairdresser who work’s from home: although I don’t know how soon Karen’s back in action!

I know what you mean about deliveries, too: Brexit’s done the UK some damage!   There’s been stories in the news, recently.   Quite a few Leave voting British expats in Spain are complaining about having to leave your country, as residency rules have changed.   They’re complaining that’s not what they voted for.   As you can image, there’s a lot of sarcastic comments doing the rounds …

^        That’s him, Debbi.   He’s quite influential, usually gets a mention alongside Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman.   The Nomad of The Time Streams is one of the steam punk novels.   And Dungeons and Dragons owes its alignment system to Moorcock’s ideas: most of his characters aren’t good or evil, they follow Law or Chaos.   Then there’s Elric … !   (He started writing in the 1960s: in fantasy and SF magazines.   Sort of a UK equivalent of R. E. Howard, H. P. Lovecraft … and Erle Stanley Gardner, if you want a courtroom drama.)
