† The meal went well, Olga: although I’m betting that chicken burger’s added a few pounds!
It’s sounds like the festival was a lot of fun! And, lord, but those castles look good: how they don’t go end over end, I’ll never know. (The camera person caught the sun at one point!)
Oh, tell Jordi I said ‘¡Hola!’
‡ Phew! Cheers, Debbi!
Oh, remember Michael Grade^? The chap who cancelled Dr Who, back in the day … ? I’ve just caught the interview Matthew Sweet did with Grade, on the Season 22 box set: it’s a fascinating watch!
^ Michael Grade is the nephew of Lew Grade, the man who produced or commissioned a lot of British TV. Including The Saint, Danger Man, The Prisoner and a of Gerry Anderson’s shows!
Q5) A sedative Well, a bit of what you enjoy is OK, or so they say. (I guess it depends on what you enjoy, but I know you are keeping an eye on what you eat the rest of the time, so no harm done). Yes, it was a bit difficult to be in the right place, with the sun, having to film up and and walking backwards, I imagine! El correfoc with the diables (people dressed up in read, the devils, run with fire and firecrackers and torches, flames... running around with drums and generally creating a noisy atmosphere were performing later, in the evening, and yesterday there were fireworks, apart from concerts and music in many of the streets, so there was a lot of fun to be had. Mind you, the organizers were exhausted by the end of the week. Here they've lowered the general taxes they charge the clients (because energy and fuel are very heavily taxed), but, of course, the government still has pocketed more money because of the increased prices. The idea was that the price wouldn't go up by that much for the consumers, but although I guess it would be worse if they hadn't done that, it is much more expensive than it was before (although not perhaps as much as we have heard is the case in other places). And then you hear that the Russians are burning gas. At least they could send it to countries who can't afford to buy it...
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
