Q2) Anneka Rice was born on 4th October, 1958. Which Channel Four show did she co-present: The Crystal Maze, Treasure Hunt or Alan Carr’s Celebrity Ding Dong?
* That’s tune’s a cracker, Olga: Nash did a good one, I think. And, yes, before you ask: Jude had ANOTHER cheese and tomato pizza! Oy!
Did I ever mention I worked at Pizza Hut, many years ago? I think I did: the industrial dough mixer we had, had a number of attachments: including one for chopping vegetables. Chopping the chilies meant wearing latex gloves, and goggles. AND using a cover.
That sounds like he had one HELL of a library: which you have respect. I knew about this politics — that cold dead hand speech is notorious — but Planet of the Apes, and Soylent Green, are superb films!
† Hello, Mum … !
‡ I thought Rap might appeal, Debbi! I have to admit, I can still remember seeing that scene in Bowling for Columbine.
Whilst we’re talking about Charlton? Did you know there’s a company called Soylent doing the rounds? They make protein shakes: including a green one that’s mint and chocolate flavoured … thankfully …
Q5) M Yes, he's made some good movies, and he could carry some mighty roles, that's for sure. You've probably mentioned the pizza-making place. It does sound quite a task! I visited an association whose members meet once a week to cook for elderly people, full menus, so they can take them home. The food is donated by the local market, and some supermarkets as well. The premises they use are lent by a local (and very good) bakery, and they are quite amazing. The kitchen is very well appointed, and there is a wood-burning oven in the patio I did think about pizzas...
Yes I saw a picture of Dame Shirley Bassey singing at the Royal Albert Hall on page 2 of today’s Daily Telegraph. She sang “Diamonds are forever” and “Goldfinger” to celebrate the anniversary of Dr No 60 years ago,
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
