† I mildly envy you, then, Olga! A lack of being stuffed a Christmas can only be good.
I’ve seen the Caganer: but the Log is a new one. And it gets beaten up to … um … poo presents? Into the fireplace? It does fit with some of the other English definitions of the word, ‘log’! At ANY rate … ? It sounds like Christmas went as well as could be expected! (The No L gag’s been around for a while!)
‡ Yeah, sorry about the No L gag, Debbi: I couldn’t resist that and the Carol’s line! At ANY rate, I hope your’s went well.
Oh … I’ve got the second series of Classic Dr Who on order: the second with William Hartnell. I’ve never actually seen The Crusade, so we’ll have to see if I can review it.
^ I’ve got To admit, Trevor, I’ve never actually had duck: at Christmas or other times. Maybe one day …
Q5) Claudius’s Well, where el Tió poops depends on where it is. IN theory, I guess the fireplace, but they have some big (even huge) ones for kids in public places and the kids can go and see it, and yes, get some presents as well. It wears a barretina (the traditional hat wore by Catalan men, that yes, it looks like the ones the Smurfs wear, but always read with the black rim). It is quite funny because when you go for walks in a forest or a wooded area, people seem to find it irresistible, and I've found quite a few cut trees where the people have painted a face like the tió's on the stump. It seems your Christmas went quite well as well. We had a few food issues, but there was more than enough food in any case. My cousin decided to come cycling and he didn't stay long, as he didn't want to cycle in the dark.
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
