Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 28th January 2023.

28th January, 2023.

Right … it’s Saturday.

And?

Well, I was hoping for warmer weather: it’s been nippy, so far.

But?   I’ve just checked the BBC’s Weather page for the area.

It’s still looking cool!

Bless him, Piers — the reporter I talked to on Thursday — has come through.

And posted his article on the Warm Home Discount on both Essex Live, and This Is Local London.

Aside from the fact I really don’t photograph, well?

I think it’s a good pair of pieces.

I can only hope something can be done as a result.

If you can hit share, I’d appreciate it.

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Mum*, Olga† and Debbi‡ putting in their answers: with everyone scoring five out of five.

Decisions about scores are final.

Thank you for coming: have a good day.

*        Hello, Mum!

Well, the articles’ went through, Olga.   Hopefully, it starts something!   (I’ve JUST shared the pair of them in a couple of groups I’m in.   We’ll have to see what that does.)

‡        It is, Debbi, it is.   Saying that?   There was a whiff of scandal about David Eddings.   Not as severe as the accusations about Marion Zimmer Bradley, but there, none-the-less.
(“I knocked off the door of the Soviet Embassy.   When they answered, I said ‘Is Len in?’”   I’ll get my coat.)

Good articles, Paul. Their explanation doesn't make a lot of sense. They've evidently changed the criteria to have to fork less money out, event though the costs have gone up. I am not sure, from what they say, that the people whose houses are more expensive to heat will get more money now either. (Of course, with the prices of energy going up, everybody's houses are more expensive to heat at the moment, unless you have your own source of energy).

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
