Friday 8 December 2023

Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 8th December 2023.

8th December, 2023.

Right … it’s officially Friday!

Meaning … ?

Well, shopping may well occur.

I put in a second request for for help from the Essential Living Fund: the card came through, yesterday.

It’s helped already: adding more money to my utilities!

But … ?

I’m going to have to give them a call, this morning.

They’ve got my birthday wrong!

I know that sounds a little petty … but you need to feed in the correct one, to check your balance over the phone!

Ho-hum!

~≈Ü≈~

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Mum* and Debbi† putting in their answers: with both scoring five out of five.

*        Hello, Mum!

Gotcha, Debbi.  It sounds like Rick’s the family’s official Author Wrangler!   Oh, the next two big question sets are on the 26th and 31st of December: about The Exorcist, and 2023.   Hopefully, they’ll be just as short!
I’ll keep my eyes peeled for yours!

Cheers, Trevor: that’s very appreciated!   (Oh, the card got here!)

§        Thanks for letting us know, Olga!   I hope the day does well!

Thanks, Paul. It wasn't too bad. We went to see the World Press Foto Exhibition (not very cheerful subject, but well-worth visiting), and then took a chance to see the Christmas Fair and the nativity in Plaça de Sant Jaune (where the City Hall and the Generalitat, the regional government are). We had a chance to catch up as well. Her husband is due his second hip replacement next week, and he's only in his early 60s, so he isn't coping terribly well with it.
I hope your day goes well and you manage to sort out the birthday issue.

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.

*   I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
