Frankly, that means it’s going to be a nice, quiet day.
Or a nice, boring day: depending on how it goes!
I may JUST have to do stuff: if I can find a movie?
That might be an idea …

I have to admit, I’m on Quora: the question and answer site.
It’s interesting to see stuff go past.
With that said?
You still see questions from people that believe — or, at least, imply — that the moon landing was faked.
It’s tempting to leave a really sarcastic reply to those questions.
Mentioning the simple fact that — if the USA had faked the landing? — the headline from Pravda, the official Soviet newspaper, would read ‘FAKE MOON LANDING’.
Not ‘FIRST LUNAR EXPEDITION’!

Let’s move on, shall we?
Yesterday’s Teaser saw Mum*, Olga† and Debbi‡ putting in their answers: with Olga and Debbi scoring five out of five, and Mum on three.
Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?
† It always amazes me what we can find out, Olga§! Especially about dice: I believe some of the earliest were made out of sheep knuckles: which later evolved in to what I know as Jumping Jacks. At least, that’s what Wikipedia is telling me!
And dice as inspiration for stories? Makes sense! Especially after playing role-playing games: and reading this, many years ago!
Oh, I couldn’t resist the song: as you mentioned Imagination …
‡ I think I missed that one, Debbi§. Although it does sound familiar! I do have distinct memories of their The Next Generation parody. The Tasha Yar figure kept threatening to send strong lawyers letters to the villain of the week! (Hang on … does that mean you missed On Her Majesty’s Secret Service? With Diana Rigg? Dearie dearie me!)
§ Oh, Debbi, Olga, did I mention I picked up an external solid state drive, a few weeks ago? After the Great Collapsing iMac Disaster? I don’t know if I mentioned it, already: it’s a two terabyte Crucial X6, with plenty of space left … and copying things to it takes very little time.
Q5) funk Good news on the drive! Yes, I think I'd heard about the origin of dice some time ago. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with juego de las tabas (it seems it does). I'm not sure if it is called the same in English. I've found different translations for it... https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juego_de_las_tabas Oh, thanks for the song! I hadn't heard it in a long time, but it was a favourite of mine.
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
