Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 30-3-2024 — Cheshire

30th March, 2024: Cheshire.

Well … It’s Holy Saturday …

Which means … not a lot: to me, at ay rate.

Well … beyond the fact that — traditionally — we’re not supposed to eat hot cross buns — they’re for Good Friday — or easter eggs,

Not that I’m planning to have too much chocolate.

I’m diabetic: we’re supposed to keep sweeties to a minimum!

And … ?

We’re not supposed to have them until Easter Sunday!

Hey ho!

“Cheshire is a ceremonial county in North West England.”
From the Wikipedia entry on Cheshire.
And a song by a Cheshire born actor …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Decisions about scores are final.

Thank you for coming: have a good day.

*        Hello, Mum!

Cheers, Olga§: I’ve managed to get that corrected!   And I know what you mean about the station: Stratford Station’s had a hell of a lot done.   Mostly as a result of the Olympic Games!

I honestly couldn’t tell you, Debbi§.   But it seems to me he’s keeping his mouth shut about the Bridge.   He’d probably cause a riot, if he said anything …

§        I have to admit, I caught this answer on the subject, on Quora.   It’s one originally released to mark the anniversary of the World Trade Centre Attacks.
The original was based on the New International version of the Bible: the Trump version, is a version of the copyright-free, King James Bible.   Apparently, the copyright holders of the NI version objected to him selling them.
Trump’s not just selling Bibles for votes.   He’s selling second-hand Bibles for votes.

I've finally finished the Google Certificate in UX Design! I had been pending the final qualification for a couple of days, but thankfully it came through, so I can rest for a bit now...

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
