Here’s a thought …
“Let no man who is not a Mathematician read the elements of my work.”
* Jonathon Horst reminds me, vaguely, of snooker player Steve Davies. It’s not the red hair: it’s the fact both seem — to me — like rather chatty academics.
† Hello, Mum!
‡ Hang on, hang on … you’ve not seen Fawlty Towers, or Torchwood, Debbi? What HAVE you been doing!? At any rate? I can do something about one of those. The other … is going to have to wait for a USB stick, and a stamp!
§ Yeah, I saw your Twitter posts, Olga: thirty kilometres? Dear lord, that’s eighteen miles! I hope your legs are OK!!!!
Yep: the appointment’s booked: it’s in early June, which gives them time to get the test results.
¶ I was going to post an earworm … but how do you follow Nat King Cole?
Q10) Paris (Have you seen it? It’s tiny and it’s always so full of people you can hardly see it...) The Birth of Venus by Botticelli, on the contrary, is huge... Beautiful and impressive. Oh, well... I'm not too bad today, although one of my toes isn't terribly happy (I think I might end up losing that toenail, but...). I don't remember having knocked it on, but it may have been a problem with the shoe. One of the problems was that it is quite hot for the time of the year and it was very sunny, so the last part of the walk was a bit too hot and that made it more tiring. And, we went through pretty busy areas of Barcelona in the middle part of the walk, and that was also tiring and slowed us down (not that I was very fast. Just under 6 hours). I hope your appointment goes well today. I've also changed my appointment to give enough time for the report to come through, so now it will be early in May.
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.

Oh, Debbi, let me know what gets through! WeTransfer’s having issues!
