It’s officially Friday.
And … ?
I’ve had mail.
A couple of months ago, I put in for help with my council tax.
And was asked to hand over a couple of months bank statements: and the relevant Universal Credit records.
Which I duly handed in, by April.
The letter I received, yesterday?
Was a request to submit the same information … again!
I spent a lot of time on the phone, yesterday: asking why on Earth I’d been asked to re-submit information the Council already had …
Only to be told I’d get a phone call, about it, today.
Personally?
I think the fact a lot of these services are split between Brentwood Council, and Basildon Council … ?
Really doesn’t help!
The only bit of good news in all this … ?
Is the fact I’ve had to double check on when my PIP tribunal will happen: it’s 15:00, on 20th June.
I’m expecting the letter soon: a letter that, hopefully, will confirm it’s by phone.

We talk about politicians saying one thing and doing another: that’s usually where the leader of the opposition will accuse the PM of a u-turn! It happened this week, in fact! “Feeding time at the zoo” is the best phrase for it. That … and “chimps’ tea party”!

Well, here they are supposed to appear in congress every Wednesday or so, although it depends on the PM's schedule. Otherwise, somebody else from the party answers the questions. What Sánchez has got very good at is rather than answering a question, creating a pack deal. He says he's going to explain several things at the same time, that way they have less time to ask him about each item, and he usually buries complex or embarrassing topics right at the end. (I think next week he's supposed to talk about all the scandal [true or not] about his wife's business). They also do that with laws. They attach a less desirable one to another one that has a good support from all sides. If it sleeps in, it sleeps in, seems to be the motto. (Si cola, cola, in Catalan, or "Si cuela, cuela" in Spanish).
I hope you can find out the information and it is by phone, Paul. About the paperwork for my mother, we have a part done. Now I need to make sure I fill in the rest and have all the paperwork, but I am sure whatever we take, it will be a matter of coming and going a few times until we get everything they want. (The instructions are a bit peculiar, as it lists what you need, and immediately after, the reasons why you don't need it, so I'm puzzled, to say the list. Just in case, I think it is better to try and get all the document beforehand).
