James Clerk Maxwell, 13 June 1831 – 5 November 1879.
* Yeah, I’ve seen the shovelling thing, too, Olga. I’m grateful it’s there: I’d hate to eat rice with chopsticks, one grain at a time! 🤣 I’m also thankful the teriyaki was in strips: that made things nice and easy. (I got a souvenir pair of chopsticks, at the end of the meal: you never know when you need them.)
The appointment went well: the hygienist was gentle enough that I didn’t need numbing!
† Hello, Mum!
‡ It’s funny you should mention curry, Debbi! The place does a version of Katsu sauce, the curry sauce you get in a lot of Asian restaurants: it’s rather nice.
I’ve not done sausage and mash, in a while. The mash takes a while to do: compared to cooking potato in an air fryer!
Q1) Israel (some things don’t seem to change. Or perhaps, nothing changes. As you were saying, politics, and international relations, can be surprisingly unsurprising).

Q5) Britain Well, it sounds as if a decision has been made. I'm covering the launch of a record by a very well-known group from the neighbourhood, La Companyia Elèctrica Dharma, who celebrated 50 years playing last year. They've done a lot of things around here, including being the ones officially opening the festival last year (la festa major), and giving a concert. They've played everywhere (in Africa, in Brazil, in the States).... Here I leave you some youtube videos. They are all (mostly) members of the same family, although a couple have died over the years, but now one of the sisters, and some friends of the family play as well. Incredicly enough, considering the age of the older ones (the one with the dark long hair, Joan, has been on the group since the very beginning), they remain almost as energetic as they were there. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TV2U_Nz4oU8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pdgdWAmInCA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QcFUoCyRCBg
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
† Your Facebook, X/Twitter, Blogger, Instagram, TikTok or LinkedIn profile are acceptable. I also like seeing folks webpages.
