* I have seen them live, Olga§¶: many years ago, at a couple of different stadium venues. A pub gig would’ve been a very different show!
Hmmm … My other sister, Ruth — Jude’s mother — is a vegetarian: and was saying the same thing about rice. She managed to mix some of the dipping sauce with her bowl of the stuff. And we had a sharing platter of the vegetable tempura, as well.
That was handy: it gave me a chance to practice my chop-stick technique. I will give them credits. They gave us Western cutlery, after Mum asked. But we soldiered on with the sticks.
† Hello, Mum!
‡ It is, Debbi: it’s set roughly a century before the first prequel. Happily, there’s no Jar-Jar Binks. But sadly, no Astromechs droids, no R2-D2s. There is a mysterious villain, though …
We had a very good night out, Debbi§¶: and, handily, they gave us western style cutlery. We used the chop sticks, though. And one of the waiters showed us how to use them! He wasn’t much help for me: he was right handed.
§ None of us had the sashimi, in the end! I went with the Beef Teriyaki. Which is me all over: I go for the nearest thing to steak and chips I can find!
Q5) Lordi It sounds as if you all had a nice time. It is amazing to watch Chinese or Japanese people using chopsticks, although depending on what they are eating, they seem to use them to shovel the rice down rather than to pick anything with them. I hope the appointment goes well.
Excellent choice, Paul! Sounds like you had a great meal.
I'm more of a fish and chips person myself. I also enjoy a good curry. And bangers and mash. But I don't suppose they have those in Japanese restaurants. :)
I recently ordered some Jaffa Cakes. It's been a while since I last had them.
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
