Q3)2nd October in the UN sponsored International Day of Non-violence. The date was picked in honour of whom: Martin Luther King, M. K. Gandhi or Josef Stalin?
Here are the glasses. And they are made here. Well, this explains about the screwless design https://www.looleyewear.com/us/en/techs/screwsless-hinge I know they are always very quick at charging you and getting your payment (institutions and government in general) but very slow when it comes to paying, although in some cases that has improved (usually when it involves very little money). I hope it doesn't take too long. I'm still waiting to hear about my mother's dependency assessment, but as she has some tests next week and then we're going to see the doctor the week after, I think I'll wait until then if I haven't heard before. She might confirm the diagnosis of arthrosis, and perhaps that will be something else worth adding onto the assessment regarding mobility and needing help. I'm reading a book for carers that I must tell you about in more detail when I'm further along, but although it is meant for carers, I'm sure a lot of what it says about dealing with the administration (Officialdom as he calls it) and getting help applies as well. The writer lives in the UK (but he doesn't give specific advice, because, as he says, things change all the time and are different for every condition, so it's impossible to cover everything) and his wife has Huntington's Disease.
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
† Your Facebook, X/Twitter, Blogger, Instagram, TikTok or LinkedIn profile are acceptable. I also like seeing folks webpages.
