* Hello, Mum!
† My grandma had one of those toilet rolls covers, Olga: with an ornamental figure on top. Some sort of Edwardian little girl, if memory serves. Quite what the thing would look like, as a hat …
And old friend used to knit: but never got the hang of crochet. Sue’s a left-hander, like me, and could never find left-handed crochet hooks.
As for the TV? The sooner the engineer gets here, the better … !
‡ Can I suggest getting a pouffe, Debbi? It sounds like you need to put your feet up! (If I recall? The late Roger Delgado claimed, several times, that the most memorable line he ever had was “Come in, and put your feet up on the Algerian pouffe”. Which can be misinterpreted, I think … )
Q5) Belgium Well, it sounds as if the repair was easy enough. I hope everything works all right now. I might have told you before already, but tomorrow the radio station is at a book fair organised by the father of the president of the radio station, and I'll be talking to author, guests, and publishing companies from morning to night. I'll try to visit on Sunday, although I also have one of the monthly walks on Sunday, and it sets off from a place quite far from my home, so although I'll take the underground to get there, it will be quite a long activity altogether.
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
† Your Facebook, X/Twitter, Blogger, Instagram, TikTok or LinkedIn profile are acceptable. I also like seeing folks webpages.
Right: it’s 10·03.

Glad to hear your aerial has been fixed.
ReplyDeleteI was laughing so hard at your remark about the pouffe, I could barely type this. :)
