Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 28-10-2026 — The Regiment

28th October, 2026: the Regiment.

Right: it’s Wednesday, the sun’s in my eyes as a result of the clock’s going back …

And I’ve had a haircut!

That’s a good thing: I was definitely feeling a bit shaggy!

On other fronts … ?

I’ve managed to release a review of the most recent episode of Star Trek that I caught.

If you hit the like button, I’d appreciate it.

I’m also pondering a minor mystery.

I’ve installed the most recent updates to my Mac’s operating systems: going from macOS Golden Gate 27.0.1 to macOS Golden Gate 27.2.

Skipping the more usual macOS Golden Gate 27.1.

I’m grateful for the update, and appreciate it’s freed up some hard drive space, patched some security holes, and added some features to Siri.

I’m just wondering why Apple seems to have missed a number …

Decisions about scores are final.

Thank you for coming: have a good day.

*        Hello, Mum!   (It was Beast, Director, suitmation and 1975, Mum, rather than Monster, Creator, Stop motion and 1973.)

†        The innocence of youth, eh, Debbi?   I’m like that with some of the buildings here!
Did I mention I’ve memories of visiting Stafford Castle: there’s been one there, since the Norman Conquest …

‡        Morning, James: any chance of that profile link … ?
Oh, so you know, the correct answers were 1954, Japan, Director, Godzilla, suitmation, hydrogen bomb tests and Monsters, rather than ’52, Malaysia, lead actor, Emiko Yamane and Beasts.

I love it when people comment. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively adult. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

If you can also leave you comments on today’s Teaser Video, that would be good.

Thank you.
