The AV Campaign: Oh, A poster …

You know, I’ve GOT to admit, I’m still — still — um’ing and ah’ing about which way to vote in the upcoming elections.

I’ll be honest … ?

I’m fairly sure that I’ll be voting for Councillor Chilvers as ward Councillor.

She does, after all make an effort to bang on people’s doors.

But I’m still having doubt’s about the whole AV thing" mostly, still, on the fact that nationally, my favourite party’s in coalition with the Conservatives.

On the other hand … ?

The simple fact that the BNP — Britain’s own ultranationalist right-wing fascists — are making no bones about the fact they like First-Past-The-Post system has put me off voting against AV.

Which is some form of encouragement, I suppose.

One thing I do know, though … ?

Is that the pictured poster is on display in one or two carparks in Brentwood.

I’d like to ask this …

If that soldier needs money spent on bullet-proof armor, why the hell are we sending ‘Military Advisors’ to Libya … ?

Just a thought …

  1. Politicians love wasting money. Why are we fighting these wars, when people at home need help? I don't suppose the people in the other countries appreciate being blown to bits anyway.
The whole referendum was a waste of money, as is contracting ATOS to screw over sick people.
All the parties are guilty of spending money in the wrong places. Duck houses start to seem irrelevant, but every drop adds up.

  2. You really shouldn't base your judgements on the supporters and detractors, but on the merits and demerits of the case itself. If you heard the BNP thinks tea is the best drink and that the Lib Dems hate tea, would you therefore stop drinking tea?

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
