Yes: there are times I’m glad I’ve got iPlayer.
Really.
For someone who’s usually glued to the TV? There’s half a ton of stuff I — occasionally — miss.
Mostly? Well, mostly, because I’m working, or — if I’m not working — doing something else.
I also like to try and avoid adverts.
So — while I’ve got access to the catch up services from Channel Four, ITV and Channel 5 — I tend not to watch them, much.
The BBC’s iPlayer service, on the other hand?
Is fine.
It, unlike others?
Doesn’t have adverts.
Which makes it perfectly …

I managed to catch a documentary on the iPlayer: about Jack the Ripper.
Entertaining stuff that postulates a woman called Martha Tabram was his first victim, not Polly Nichols, as usually claimed.
And names their suspect …
certain Mr Aaron Kosminski, of Whitechapel.
Entertaining? Yes?
Accurate?
I don’t know.
But it was certainly plausible.
And two‽
Ye … haaaa!

Episode 3 — Virtù e Fortuna — has a pre-title sequence in what looks like a the Raj … but soon shown to be another part of Delos’s operation.
One that’s suffering with the same revolting hosts as the main Westworld.
Complete with host tigers run amok.
Meanwhile … ?
The story is told from the view point of Bernard (Jeffrey Wright): having flashbacks from two weeks later, to the time when he was held at a fort held by Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) and her ragtag army.
In amongst the prisoners and refugees that are ALSO at the fort?
Is Peter Abernathy (Louis Herthum) …
Father of Dolores …
And the host that — as far as Bernard can tell — holds copies of every piece of software, and every piece of hardware, made for the part.
Do you get the feeling something is going to give … ?

Now …
I’ll apologise now: for not mentioning that last point: that the Peter Abernathy host has a secret hidden in his head.
But … ?
Westworld as a series does have quite a few plots twisting around.
And, frankly? That twist went past, a little on the fast side.
At any rate … ?
Westworld is still a series that’s looking good: even though the Samurai attack at the end was predictable*?
And STILL some thing I’m watching …
* Come on: who missed the display of Japanese hosts at the end of series one?
