* Speaking as a former Liberal Democrat voter? I’ve not voted for them since the Coalition. The fact a lot of disgruntled former Labour and Conservative MPs have defected to them … is something that’s not encouraging me to vote for them. The Lib-Dems aren’t a party of MPs convinced of Liberal values. It’s a party for people pissed off at their old party.
† Cheers for looking in, Anne: hope the weekend’s going well! (Actually, I’ve never seen an Argento movie: I really should start!)
‡ I know Mark Gatiss did an interview with Argento for his A History of Horror a few years ago, Olga. Which is where I heard about Argento’s shop, I should add! And you’re right about the name. It’s those great big, rolling Italian R’s! As for the job interview … well … what can I tell you … ? There’s a few questions, there … (OK, I think it was Argento’s expression that got me thinking of Pope Francis. I don’t think Argento’s ever been stuck in a lift, though. Stephen Fry has … )
^ Feel free to use the paraphrase as a blog headline, Debbi! I might do it, myself. Mind you, I like the Terry Pratchett one I’ve got! As for the interview … ? I’ve had better! You know, it occurred to me, yesterday: the reason the woman who was supposed to interview me, didn’t … was because she wanted to avoid any awkward questions** … ! Here’s hoping I hear back from the HR department t, I’d love to hear their story!
Q1) The Beat (or The English Beat). I must confess I know Fine Young Cannibals but never heard of this one Q2) Wiz Khalifa Q3) Submarine! Q4) Real IRA Q5) Macedonia Must check the interview up. I know what you mean about The Lib Dem. A friend of mine is a convinced local MP for the party so I have some sympathy for them but I get your point. I've just finished reading a book that I think you'd enjoy, and they mention Terry Pratchett... (Not a fiction title) I'll share the link to my blog post when it comes up in a couple of weeks.
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
