Q3) One event in the Saturnalia, was held outside that god’s Temple. That temple was in part of the city called the what: the Forum, the Campus Martius or the Circus Maximus?
“New Jersey is the fifth-smallest state based on land area, but with close to 9.3 million residents, is the 11th-most populous and the most densely populated.”
The quizmaster’s decisions about scores are final.
Thank you for coming: have a good day.
* From the little I know, Olga? There’s workmanship: and a LOT of rendering power. The Daleks in the Dr Who story I’m watching are wonderfully detailed.
Yes: it’s a replicant, Olga. The big clue’s the eyes: all the replicants in the film have glow in the dark eyes. How Ridley Scott managed that, I don’t know!
As for the fire … ? It seems a woman of 27 has been arrested for child neglect … it makes you sick, doesn’t it … ?
† Hello, Mum!
‡ I might have to check it out, myself, Debbi: we’ll have to see. (I’ve a pile of wrapping to do!)
Q10) Bruce Springsteen Ridley Scott could manage to do quite wonderful things... It is sad to think that one needs a qualification to do anything these days (pretty much) but people can have children without having any interest or inclination to look after them. I always remember a woman who came to A&E with actual holes in her arms from injecting cocaine (not a good idea, as it is a fantastic vasoconstrictor), with a five or six-year-old child, and she told us not to put big bandages on her because 'it might upset her child'. Well, I can't imagine he would have been happy seeing her mother's arms full of holes either... Oh, good news on your weight. Diabetes is tricky to control (I don't need to tell you that), and, of course, it comes with all kinds of complications, as it affects the blood vessels everywhere (especially the small ones), so gangrene is no stranger to the illness itself. It is always weird when a medication can have the same side effects as the illness it is trying to treat, or pretty similar. Stay safe. (Oh, tomorrow I'm going to be pretty busy. I expected to be covering a charity event nearby for the radio, but somehow it has somehow turned into having to man the radio stall at the same event from 9 in the morning until 3 in the afternoon (there was not going to be a stall, as the radio boss is already covering another event, but he was asked to do it because with COVID, etc, it seems that there won't be as many stalls as planned), and then I had volunteered already to be at the Telethon they organise every year, at the headquarters here in Barcelona, this time supervising the people answering the phones (I've done the training, online, but not sure I know exactly what to do, although I guess I'll find out), in the last turn of the day, that won't finish until 1 am, so I'm feeling tired in advance already. I hope to catch up with the Teaser, but if I don't, just know I got trapped by all the goings-on tomorrow.
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
