The quizmaster’s decisions about scores are final.
Thank you for coming: have a good day.
* That’s a sensible move, Olga. Not smoking, that is. I think the point was it was it’s supposed to be enjoyable. At least, it was when I was about 17 or so …
Actually avoiding politics is possibly a good idea … it’s a bit of a swamp, isn’t it … ?
† It was quite something, wasn’t it, Debbi? I’ve this abiding memory of Detective Belker, growling at people … ! (Ye GODS, cigars? In a food prep area … ?)
Q5) 1985 Yes. I don't know why but I ended up watching the first episode of Mad Men, where they are dealing with an advertising campaign for Lucky Strikes, right at the moment when all the studies were coming up saying that smoking definitely killed, and it seems weird now to see so many people smoking in a TV series, but, of course, it was as it was, and seen as cool as well. By the way, have you ever watched "Thank You For Smoking?" It is far from a perfect movie (I don't believe the romantic storyline, for one), but it has some great moments and quite a twisted sense of humour. Enjoy your Sunday.
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
† Your Facebook, X/Twitter, Blogger, Instagram, TikTok or LinkedIn profile are acceptable. I also like seeing folks webpages.

I used to love Belker, even if he did growl a lot. :) Made me laugh, anyway.
