Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 4th February, 2022

4th February, 2022.

How on Earth does that happen … ?   How … ?

Waking up in the morning, half convinced that’s it’s the day after the day it actually is?

I was thinking it’s a Saturday.

Very aware that’s it’s actually a Friday: a day I’ve got another meeting, at another weight management program.

Right at the bottom end of London Road!

It’s a hell of a walk, I know that!

Oh, while I’m here … ?

Did I mention my nephew, Jude, is a YouTuber?

His channel’s here, if you’d like to subscribe.

The reason I mention it … ?

Is he’s done another video.   Feel free to hit Like, or Share!

The day also says Trevor^ leaving us a message.

And a song …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

The quizmaster’s decisions about scores are final.

Thank you for coming: have a good day.

*        Hello, Mum!

It WAS a touch frantic, Olga!   The Zoom meeting’s helpful: but, LORD, it can be a drone-fest!   It went well enough, though.   But having an old friend over was good: two hours nattering about Quatermass can be interestingly technical.   Oh … and Jude’s done another video …
I’ll keep my fingers for the Editor!

My pleasure, Debbi!   I hope they’re enjoyable!   (Oh, I got chatting to an old friend, yesterday: who needed copies of Quatermass and the Pit, the original TV version.   It’s quite something to watch.)

^        Cheers, Trevor: I think we’ll have to see what I get for Christmas!

Good luck with today's meeting! I love walking, so I won't comment on the walk side of it.
This week has also felt quite weird for me. I think the combination of Anna changing her class (we're doing it today and at a later time, rather than Wednesday early), and the issues with the radio station have made me a bit uncertain about timing as well.
When I went to collect the equipment, the director told me that he was certain the editor would be back on Monday. Thankfully, they just had a new journalism student doing a stint there, so he's getting plenty of experience pretty quickly, but I'll keep my fingers crossed for Carla. She must be getting bored to death by now (although I know she is doing some interviews and features from home, on the phone, but it isn't the same).
And yes, I saw Jude's video. Well done!

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.

*   I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
