5th February, 2022.
Yes: it’s a Saturday.
Which means that those of us of a certain age will be singing the theme tune for Tiswas.
Yep: I’ve had the dratted thing, ear-worming its way through my head, all morning.
At any rate … ?
It’s Saturday: a day with no actual meetings to go to.
And, thankfully? No exercises to do.
I have time to shop: and possibly see a film.

Let’s move on, shall we?

“Communication must become total and conscious before we can stop it.”The Ticket That Exploded, William S. Burroughs, February 5, 1914 – August 2, 1997.
And a song …
Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.
The quizmaster’s decisions about scores are final.
Thank you for coming: have a good day.
* It’s another one that went well, Olga: although we DID end up discussing chocolate, quite a bit. Dark chocolate’s considered better, if you’re trying to lose weight, apparently: there’s no milk in it. Just don’t ask about dogs: my case worker googled for Yorkshire terriers, rather than Yorkie bars … !
And, yeah: I know what you mean about timing: something happening on a different day can really throw us out, can’t it? I’m wondering if there’s a name for it? At any rate, I hope Anna’s lesson went well. And if Carla’s got a laptop … ? She should be able to install a few casual games, if she’s THAT bored.
Don’t overwork the student!!!
† Hello, Mum!
‡ My pleasure, Debbi! Oh, I’ve left you a message … !

4 Gold nugget
5 Police
Q1) Finland
Q2) Its constitution
Q3) The Third Punic War (Wow! Was anybody aware it was still going on? It makes me think of those very old laws from the Middle Ages nobody remembers but are still current).
Q4) A gold nugget (I love The Welcome Stranger as a name of a public toilet, though. Perfect!)
Q5) Police
I had composed a fairly comprehensive answer, talking about chocolate, Anna (whom I feel, in an ideal world, should have a bit more time to dedicate to her English, but she is having so many tests and preparing for her pre-university last test, that she doesn't have time for much), and other bits, but because I don't know if the Internet will fail again or not, I'll better just send this. Finger crossed it all carries on OK. Happy weekend!
Yes! Message received, intact. :) Thanks!
