Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 3rd February, 2022

3rd February, 2022.

Right …

It’s a Thursday: which means I’ve got a weight management class, this morning.

Which is why I started this post early: the meeting’s on Zoom, and starts at ten.

I’d like to be on time, and dressed!

On top of that … ?

I’m half expecting an old friend, this afternoon: who needed some backing up down.

I’m expecting my nephew, this afternoon: there’s a distinct possibility of more videos …

~≈Ç≈~

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Olga*, Mum† and Debbi‡ putting in their answers: with everyone scoring five out of five.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video …

Q1)        Giuseppe Moretti was born on 3rd February, 1857.   His famous state of Vulcan is in a city called Birmingham.   This particular Birmingham is where: Alabama, Connecticut or Iowa?

Q2)        Actor, John Cassavetes, died on 3rd February, 1989. He co-starred with Mia Farrow in which 1968 film?

Q5)        Finally … ?   Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, formed the Benelux Union.   On 3rd February of which year: 1958, 1959 or 1960?
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Q1)        Grand Central Station opened on 2nd February.   Of which year: 1911, 1913 or 1915?
A1)        1913.

Q2)        It’s more correctly called what: Grand Central Station, Grand Central Terminal or Grand Central Stop?
A2)        Grand Central Terminal.

Q3)        The station is the terminal for three rail lines.   The New Haven line, Hudson Line and the what: Harlem Line, Queens Line or Manhattan Line?
A3)        Harlem Line.

Q4)        The Terminal’s in midtown where: Manhattan, Brooklyn or the Bronx.
A4)        Midtown Manhatten.

Q5)        Finally … ?   Grand Central’s in which US city?
A5)        New York.
Here’s a thought …
“A political country is like an American forest; you have only to cut down the old trees, and immediately new trees come up to replace them.”
The English Constitution, by Walter Bagehot, 3rd February, 1826 – 24th March, 1877.
And a song …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

The quizmaster’s decisions about scores are final.

Thank you for coming: have a good day.

*        P. D, James … ?   I’m mildly impressed, Olga: she was baroness, you know!   And that’s quite an impressive line-up.
And I’ll have to look Virginia Feito up: I don’t know that many Spanish writers who write in English … :D

Hello, Mum!   You DID know Jude’s heading over?

I think Al was being metaphorical, Debbi.   At least, I hope he was!!   Oh, did I mention I’m ripping Season 17 of Doctor?   The season that includes City of Death, and Shada?   One or two of the extras might grab you.

Gosh, you're busy today. I hope the meeting goes well, and everything else as well. I have to go and pick up the equipment at the radio this afternoon. I don't know if the editor will be back yet, but she told me yesterday she had tested positive when she had checked on Tuesday (her boyfriend had tested negative already), so we shall see. She was feeling better, though.
Give my best to Jude.
