Friday 11 February 2022

Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 11th February, 2022.

11th February, 2022.

It’s Friday.

And, in the words of the old advert?

I’ve got that Friday feeling.

You have to love an advertising slogan.

Especially when they’re meaningless.

~≈🤨≈~

Oh, it’s Friday.

Which — obviously —means it’s the day after Thursday.

Which means it’s the day after mu nephew, Jude, uploaded his most recent video.

*        In that card’s defence, Olga?   It usually goes for around £20,000 to £50,000.   That particular card was an early edition version, that had been signed by the original artist: who I believe has since died.   The card itself is no longer in print: and hasn’t been since about 1995.   And, in terms of the game, is actually very useful: it lets a player do things a lot earlier than they otherwise could.   (The professional tournament rules for the game only let you use it, under tight restrictions.).  There IS talk that early players who had copies sold them, to pay their way through college.   So there IS some use to it.
The meeting went well, cheers: the weight does seem to be going steadily downwards.   Today?   Back to the hygienists!

        Hello, Mum!

‡        Yes: I’m the same with some TV shows, Debbi.   Which reminds me, now I’ve got Antlers out of the way, I can start getting the back log out of the way.   Star Trek Discovery looks good: as does The Book of Boba Fett.  (Temuera Morrison’s in that: he was unnervingly nasty in Once Were Warriors.)

Q1) Bees

Q2) The Morning Show

Q3) The answer you are looking for must be general election, but checking, it seems it was a process that went on over months (and it has started in 1951), and in most places, it says the results came in on the 10th of February, so not sure this is correct... The other two answers are not relevant though, so...

Q4) Dr Who (the world’s, according to Wikipedia)

Q5) The Blues Brothers
Still, it seems amazing that things that are not "essential" are much more expensive than others we need to live. On the other hand, if we had to pay the amount that card is worth to stay alive, there would be very few people left in the world. (It may come to that, but I don't think in our lifetimes). Of course, the value of most things is only what we want to give it. (And it's true what they say. What is rubbish for one person might be a treasure for somebody else. I love antiques and salvage programmes, and it's amazing what some people throw away and what others keep and love).
Well done Jude and well done you on the weight front. Patience is not one of my qualities, but for some things, steady and slow is the best option.

Yeah, we're catching up on some newer shows, too. Since I'm trying to write screenplays and what-not. :)

1. bees
2. The Morning Show
3. general election
4. Doctor Who (of course!)
5. The Blues Brothers

I'm doing something interesting. Mentoring college students in creating datasets to solve problems. Surprisingly, it's a lot like screenwriting. :) I'm also learning Discord while doing this, which is awesome! :)

I never expected to do this. Can't wait to start!

Yep, nerding out here! :)

That music in Jude's video reminds me of part of a song from The Who. One from Quadrophenia. Maybe. :)
