* Hello, Mum!
† I am trying to keep off the chocolate, Olga. But it’s the one thing I’m finding hard work. It’s not like smoking or drinking, where there’s various types of help: at the surgery level, if nothing else. It’s frustrating, I know that! People talk about being chocoholics, but …
‡Glad to be of help, Debbi! (Oh, re UK sci-fi: the Wikipedia entry on British SF TV reminds that the first piece of science fiction shown on the BBC was a version of Rossum’s Universal Robots, back in the 1930s)
Q4) The photoelectric effect (Not what most of us think about)
Q5) 1.5 grams I hope the meeting today is less frustrating than you imagine, but I know about your misgivings. On the chocolate front, there is chocolate and chocolate, and there are healthier options, but some people find it more difficult to reduce consumption than to stop altogether. (My father didn't eat it often, but couldn't stop once he got going). Stay well (we have very high winds today, so an anchor would prove useful, although I'm teaching, so I'm carrying a fair amount of books around).
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
